Dr. Homa Askari graduated from Iran University of Medical Sciences in Iran in 2004. She worked in rural and remote areas of Iran as well as super clinics for 5 years, before moving to Australia in 2010. She has been working in Australia as a general practitioner since 2011. She completed the exams of Australian Medical Council (AMC) and RACGP, and successfully became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of GPs (FRACGP) in 2013.
Before moving to Brisbane, she worked in Gladstone for 2.5 years, developing her interests in General Practice health care. She has attended different courses and workshops in Australia to improve her clinical skills specially in skin cancer management, women health and mental health care.
Special Interests include women health and family planning; children and adolescent health; skin cancer diagnosis & surgery; management of mental health conditions; management of chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, kidney impairment and asthma.
Certificate in Primary Skin Cancer Medicine in 2011, and Certificate in Primary Skin Cancer Surgery in 2014.
